New training helps supply teachers stay ahead of the class
Education Resourcing has launched a new training programme to help supply teachers receive the same level of career development support as they would in a permanent post in a school.
This is the first programme of its kind to be offered by a teacher training agency anywhere in the UK, and will enable supply teachers to maintain the levels of development required of them should they apply for a contract or permanent post at a later date.
Our belief is that good teachers should not have to miss out on great opportunities just because they have chosen to take the supply route.
Knowledge from the expert
The programme is being run in partnership with Sharon Young, of Phoenix Education Solutions. As Director of Education Services, Sharon is an education professional with over 16 years’ management experience gained in a number of industries, having spent the past 10 years at senior management level within education.
Sharon is an Assessment Associate for the Edexcel exam board and has a proven track record of successfully re-aligning curriculum provision to ensure success for all students, regardless of ability. Skilled in the management of change, Sharon has led on senior leadership teams focusing on education planning and curriculum development projects, including the transition from local authority to Academy and Specialist College status. She has substantial experience of developing education functions in multi-site operations, including off-site operations used for vocational training and adult education. The Associates at Phoenix Education Solutions are all highly skilled professionals who are experts in their various fields, which include: staff training on the use of data for student tracking, student intervention programmes, curriculum development (design and delivery), portfolio-based qualification moderation and staff performance management.
