I would like to thank Nicky Keller, Company Director of Education Resourcing, for her tremendous input and wonderful support for my Sponsored Charity Walk held recently.
When I told Nicky I was planning on doing a Sponsored Walk on crutches after undergoing a recent pioneering knee operation after being hit by a car whilst out cycling on my bicycle, she immediately offered help and assistance in promoting my event. Sending out countless emails and texts on my behalf, Nicky rapidly raised an outstanding amount of pledges/sponsorship money for me from the other teachers. In addition to this, Nicky also sponsored me an incredibly generous amount. When Nicky sent her cheque, however, I discovered she had in fact doubled this amount. Not only was I completely overwhelmed by her generosity, but the hospital charity were also lost for words at Nicky’s extreme generosity.
The two charities who benefited from the event were MASTOR-Lincs, a local trauma orthopaedic charity set up to research and help trauma victims ie involved in RTAs (Road Traffic Accidents) and Help for Heroes, the charity which helps our injured servicemen and women returning from war in conflict zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
I would also like to thank all of Nicky’s wonderful, wonderful teachers who came to the walk which was held in Hornncastle, and also those who sponsored me and to all those who honoured their pledges. Both Nicky and everyone from Education Resourcing have been truly wonderful and I can only thank Education Resourcing and Nicky especially once again for the wonderful support and help I received, all of which has indeed greatly benefited the charities.
