Assistant Team Leader for Design Technology, The Gleed Girls Technology School in Lincolnshire
The Supply Teacher from Education Resourcing joined our Technology School in January 2004 on a supply basis covering for a maternity leave.
Initially she was employed for three days a week however, more recently she has worked full time. She quickly established herself as a competent teacher of both Food and Textiles and has taught groups in both KS3 and KS4. She is a conscientious and committed colleague who has become a valued member within the Technology Department. She is very organised and efficient and has worked as if she were a permanent member of staff, completing reports, all marking, assessments etc. She has been a form tutor for a Year 7 group and she has ensured that her tutees have followed the ground rules regarding behaviour and dress and completed the necessary pastoral duties. She has been popular with the students and has shown care and understanding. She has provided them with a good learning environment and they have produced some quality work in both practical and design folder work. I am very sorry that she is leaving us, she will be greatly missed.
